Routes accessible to beginners and experienced paddlers alike. Alternate between rapids of varying strength, take your time, and observe the flora and fauna of our Ariègeriver.

Accessible to all! Our easiest route. Get acquainted with your boat on our lake. Then, when you're ready, you're off for a short 3-kilometer trip.

For a full or half day, pack your picnic in the provided containers and descend at your own pace for 9 km. Please note that this is a Class II mountain stream on a V scale. It's a real descent!

The historic ARIEGE EVASION route. On the program since 1991! A route that starts on a small lake, then the descent begins. You'll need to steer your canoe or kayak through some small rapids. The route passes through Tarascon-sur-Ariège and then Bompas, where Lake Garrabet begins. Mercus is 3 km further on. The tranquility of a lake also means some paddling! But the beauty of the setting and the view over the valley reward the effort. Return trips depart every half hour from the beach at Mercus.

Every morning at 10:00, 11:00, and 12:00, we head straight to the heart of the matter at the foot of the Quié cliffs. Is the "Tic Tac" approaching? Will you be swept away by the excitement? Surprise! No acclimatization period, you just hop in and off you go. Canoeing experience is recommended for this route. It's rated level II on a scale of V. Adventure awaits!

WHAT IS MANDATORY

Be able to swim at least 25 meters, be able to submerge, be 7 years old and older, be in good physical condition, wear closed shoes, wear the life jacket provided by us.

Recent professional equipment meeting CE standards, vests and containers washed after each use (biodegradable and environmentally friendly Bacterless™ products).

How should we dress?

In summer, a swimsuit or shorts and a t-shirt are sufficient.
In spring and autumn, you should bring a windbreaker and warm clothes to put on during stops. You might want to consider a wetsuit.
In all cases, water shoes or sports shoes are essential.

Can I bring my dog on the canoe?

We advise against bringing your dogs. However, if you insist, your dog can occupy the middle seat in a canoe, provided it is not leashed. It will be necessary to keep it on a leash so that it does not disturb anyone during the descent and the bus journey.

Can I bring my picnic and stop at the beaches?

During the day you can choose whichever beach suits you best, but please respect private property, fishermen, and swimmers; your respect will be appreciated. Take your trash with you.
We provide waterproof containers that you take with you in the canoe for your food and drinks.
