Canoe Roquebrun – Orb Valley
We are located in the medieval village of Roquebrun at the arrival of the courses. The Nautical Center is open 7 days a week from April 1 to September 30.
The Orb is the most playful of the Mediterranean rivers.
The water level is ensured by regular releases from the dams upstream.
Routes and prices for canoe and kayak rental on the Orb
We will take you back by shuttle at a fixed time to your departure point upstream following the chosen route. Your time on the water is free.
We offer unsinkable and self-bailing canoes and kayaks with paddles, vests and waterproof containers.
Reservations as the water level can vary quickly. For other months, it is also strongly recommended.

A change of scenery guaranteed with the renovated old mill, the riverside gardens and the AOC Saint-Chinian vineyards. The rapid “Aqualand” and “Le S” will add a little spice to this beginner course accessible to families.
During the last kilometer of water you can admire the village of Roquebrun from your boat. The river, the old stone bridge, the village and the medieval tower in the background... We are waiting for you in the heart of Roquebrun, your car is a few steps away, in our parking lot. -
“The gorges” [Vieussan – Roquebrun] 10 km – 3h

You will discover the emblematic turtle rapids, our photographer's focal point for its round stone which destabilizes many boats. Admire the Miravel estate, left bank, a magnificently renovated old mill.
The cliffs of Camps invite you to jump from the natural diving boards carved into the schist. At the exit of the gorges, please do not disturb the goats at the cheese farm! Only a few kilometers left to reach the Ceps bridge site. -

Appointment: 30 minutes before minimumDeparture at the foot of the Caroux massif, in the heart of the Haut Languedoc Natural Park, where the Orb begins its descent towards the plain. Along the mountains and the banks with numerous vines, you will see some wine estates. Beaches and rapids alternate up to the Vieussan bridge site.

Appointment: 30 minutes before minimumDeparture, upstream of the Colombières dam.
After the initiation, take advantage of the water to warm up! You will start with the Colombières slide: A slide of more than 30 meters. At the sight of the “Suspension Bridge” of Tarassac, be ready. The two most technical rapids of the Orb await you: “La Grille” and “Le Moulin”. Over 600 meters of descent you will lose 10 meters of altitude difference. After the mouth of the Jaur on your right, you will pass our 15 kilometer launch. Here, the river widens and the rapids will be less technical.
Stay vigilant though, some rapids could surprise you, especially if EDF has released water... -

At the foot of the medieval tower of Roquebrun we offer you the opportunity to rent 2, 3 or 4-seater canoes, kayaks or stand-up paddles.
More than a kilometer of flat ground to discover the Roquebrun site by water and practice operating a simple boat.
Between the dike and the village vegetable gardens you will reach the Moulins de Roquebrun. Crafts, exhibitions and local products await you.
Prices in Euro including tax per boat.
Neoprene wetsuit rental: €5.
Picnic by reservation: €10 – Reductions cannot be combined. The price includes: Shuttle bus, paddle vests, transport container, boat.
Payments by bank card from countries outside the euro zone: we are obliged to pass on bank charges of 2%.

WHAT IS REQUIRED
Know how to swim 25 meters minimum, know how to submerge, from 6 years old. Wear water shoes (on sale on site). Wear the life jacket provided by us.
